Extreme distance racing returned to Trentham on Saturday and it was a Bluegables Farm graduate who completely stole the show.

Aided by a bold ride from David Walsh, Miss Darley was a dominant winner of the 3200 metre Chalmers Handicap.

The daughter of Untouchable was sent to the front 1000 metres from home and outstayed her rivals for a convincing victory.

Miss Darley was sold by Bluegables Farm during the Festival Sale at Karaka in 2007 for $27,500 to her Awapuni trainer Laurie Christensen.

She is out of the Zabeel mare Pellant Road who is a daughter of the champion sire Zabeel. The dam is also a half-sister to the Gr 1 VRC Oaks winner Weekend Delight and the family of Gr 3 South African winner Icelandic Run.
