Top Family Strikes Again

« Back to News

A Bluegables Farm graduate with a family history of rich success in Australia added to that record in Melbourne yesterday.

Shipin was a dominant winner over 1200 metres at the Cranbourne meeting for local trainer Wendy Kelly. The three-year-old had raced only twice previously and had weighed in on both occasions.

A daughter of Pins, Shipin is out of the Rubiton mare Glen Shian who won three races and was also a Gr 2 placegetter. She is a half-sister to the Gr 3 BTC Sprint winner Emission who was twice placed at the highest level. The feature name in Shipin's pedigree is the Gr 1 Golden Slipper winner and champion sire Rory's Jester.

Yet another Slipper winner in the pedigree is Ha Ha who also claimed the Gr 1 Flight Stakes.
