Te Aroha trainer Lisa Anderson is confident an in-form Singapore Sling can showcase her talent over a middle distance in the near future.
The Bluegables Farm graduate added another victory to her record at Te Rapa today with a strong performance over 1600 metres. “When she hit the front turning for home under 57kg I thought she might get run down so it was really good effort,” Anderson said.
“She hasn’t had a lot of luck or tracks to suit and I think she will get over more ground so that’s the next thing to do.” A daughter of the former international performer Starcraft, Singapore Sling has won five races, including the Listed Soliloquy Stakes at Ellerslie.
She was bought out of Bluegables’ 2009 Karaka draft for $15,000 and is out of the winning Western Symphony mare Gin Sling from the family of the dual Gr 1 winner Zarita.
